Here are ten key steps that we have developed to prepare you and your company for sale. They form the basic framework for the transaction but leave room for tailored, individual adjustment:
1.INITIAL INTERVIEW & OVERALL ASSESSMENT We will conduct a series of interviews with you and/or a delegate chosen by you. We will be interested in learning about your reasons for selling along with your desired or anticipated timing for the sale. We will discuss whether you are looking for an exit strategy or a way to take a few "chips off the table" or perhaps to leverage a larger company’s infrastructure and financial resources to help facilitate growth – in any case, we will seek to understand your most important immediate and longer term goals and objectives.
2.REVIEW OF YOUR FIRM’S OPERATIONAL PROFILE We will review your company’s operations, service offerings, markets, financial performance and its management and personnel. Based on these findings, we will report to you on where we believe your firm could use operational or financial strengthening to help enhance its salability and market value.
